Content management systems

We build our websites using content management systems - either WordPress 3 or Drupal 7. There are some major benefits to you as the site owner from having your new website built with a content management system:

  • You have full control of the content once the site is launched. You can add new pages, edit and delete existing pages, add images and much more.
  • You have full control of the look and feel. If you want to change the colours and layout, that's up to you.
  • Because both of these content management systems are open source tools, they don't cost you, unlike traditional commercial systems. You pay less.
  • There are many companies and individuals with the skills to help develop your site in the future. Of course, we hope you stick with us, but you don't have to.
  • There are thousands of developers around the world creating great plug-ins, themes and other extensions for both WordPress and Drupal. That means that you can add new features with the minimum of work.

Simple CMS sites - WordPress

Let us create your site in WordPress 3 - the most up-to-date version of this easy-to-use content management system. We will create a site for you based on one of a dozen or so attractive themes, add  your logo and create a set of pages for you. We'll train you in how to get the best out of your new site and even give you a user guide!

More sophisticated sites - Drupal 7

Drupal is probably the most popular content management system in the world. It is used for websites ranging from small brochure and portfolio sites right up to huge sites with thousands of pages and millions of visitors. Don't let that put you off though - we will build you a site that is simple, straightforward and easy to manage, while still having room to grow as far and as fast as you want it to.

This site is built in Drupal 7. This uses a theme that we developed here at Tellura. We can do the same for you, or build you a site based on the hundreds of available free or commercial themes. We will provide you with a basic set of pages and the modules that you need to get the site working the way you want it to. As with our WordPress services, we will train you and provide the technical documentation you need to start being productive.

If you are looking for an e-Commerce solution for your business, Drupal is probably the way to go.
