Silverstripe is one of many open-source content management systems (CMS), a family that includes popular products like Drupal and Joomla.  We have experience in building and delivering sites in both Drupal and Joomla, but have recently begun to move to Silverstripe. The primary reason for this is ease of use. That is, ease of use both for the end user in managing and writing content and for the developer in having access to powerful development tools, mature plugins and a template-based approach easier than any other we have seen.

We have eaten our own dog food on this one, and built the new website for Tellura (the one you are looking at right now) entirely using SilverStripe.

Rubery Owen. This is a small website with editable content managed using Objective Development's WebYep tool. Almost every element of every page is editable by the end user.

Rozone. Rozone specialises in sustainable solutions for environmental management, including industrial cleaning products. They needed a site that could be updated by their non-technical staff regularly. Most content on most pages can be edited in this way.

Blue Boar. This growing environmental management company asked for a visually attractive site that could be easily maintained.

Ian Mathie books. The author Ian Mathie wanted a simple and stylish site to market his books. This site includes a simple purchasing mechanism using PayPal.
